Trainer??

Everyone is looking to get healthy, be healthy, and stay healthy. Looking at many avenues to develop a complete lifestyle. With that being said, there are "Fitness Professionals" feeding on that and know very little on nutrition and actual effective training.  Teaching things that have worked for them but not necessarily clientele. (Watch out for this with online training programs)

It takes a little more than that. Working with much clientele, it is priority to continue educating to keep up with fitness industry standards. This allows us to give our clients the best nutritional and training guidance to reach and maintain results specially for you.

Though you are purchasing fitness, it's a product, making you a consumer. You have the right to know exactly what you want and ask questions.

Here's what to look for 👇🏾

▶️ Trainer in tune with current methods and techniques for an effective program

▶️  If it's cheap, it's more than likely something you won't reap benefits from. Quality (results) is worth the price if your serious about the outcome you want.

▶️ Does trainer recommend assessment before program? I make it priority to meet/call potential client before considering any program. Trainers should be discussing goals and making something personal....PERSONAL

▶️ Do they walk the walk? Sorry you have to look the part. I can care less about what you've been through as a trainer. What are you going to do for the client? 10 years ago you as the trainer were the go-to. Your body is your build board, if you're still in the game and wanting to stay in, you should still look like the go-to.

▶️Assessments, how are you to measure one's progress without tracking habits, prone to injuries, or even self destruction which is all part of this journey of transformation.  This is how you and your trainer continue to move together and continue same vision.

▶️ Ask other friends/family member about their journey and their results.

▶️ Is the trainer busy? It may be difficult to get the time you want to train, but at the end of it all, if you goals are important you need to find another time to train. These are your goals, don't find time, make the time. What would you prefer, a trainer that is bust because their getting results or a trainer that can fit you in because they can't seem to get and keep clients?

Now you're equipped on what you need to look for in your success for an effective health and fitness transformation👊🏾

How do you feel is 🔑

IMG_0699.JPG

What does this mean exactly? Let's start with the mental games that health and fitness transformation plays in your process. This morning, today, how many of you have stepped on the scale? Knowing all the fun, festivities, and food we may have consumed. Why would you gauge your program and your progress on mental mishap or exciting and social lifestyle? The transformation process is only successful if things you learn become habits and then incorporated into your lifestyle.

Yes, you do have to get uncomfortable and give up something and for some individuals that can be more than others. There's no process or program out that will get you to where you want to be without this step.

Before I begin any program with any of my clients in studio or online consulting the process starts with assessing where we are now. Then we get progress pictures done. This for most is the hardest step. This makes us face ourselves, accept where we are at and what we need to do going forward. A non-negotiationable has to be you breaking up with the scale and this is for men and women.

For some reason we feel that the scale really dictates how effective our program is. This is a big downfall and draw back for individuals just beginning a program and may only be 6-8 months in. Realize as you are going through changes, your body and mind are as well!

In this time frame you are not mentally strong enough or capable to disconnect your hard work being justified from the reflection of what's on the scale. #☝️ When you start a program, increase water intake, eating, more rest, and activity your body is trying to adjust as well. Don't set yourself up for disappointment seeing the scale number increase and having no idea why. The scale number increasing is not always a bad thing 🤔 (Bmi%,  bf%, muscle decrease/increase)

Replace the scale with clothing and pictures! This is a huge confidence and momentum booster!  You will love looking back at the old you.

#✌🏾 Take notice of your energy levels and sleeping. Once your body really starts adjusting and accepting the new lifestyle, you will be sleeping much better and through the night. This will all carry over to the next day which plays a part in our nutrition intake, appetite, and sustained energy.  For some sooner than others, but by weeks 6-8 you should really be in a zone, I'm talking feeling yourself, you can't be touched 😎 This will only happen if you're all in 💯 and trusting your process!

#3️⃣ stress, mood, medications, aches, and so much more!

Do things now your future self will thank you for. This is real health care! Nutrition that fuels the body and training that fuels confidence and creativity. These are keys for a more productive you, which then lead to an overall more fulfilled lifestyle.  Decrease your stress to allow for better sleep, making you more of an enjoyable person to be around. This also will help with those of you that deal with stress eating, or eating out of boredom. You control your eating, you control medications.

Getting active and learning more on how nutrition (what foods/ingredients) trigger flare-ups, and inflammation, that are causing aches, you will eliminate more than half the reasons you feel you can't do this health and fitness thing!! See how this whole process can transform your mind and body🤔

Thsese 👆🏾 3️⃣ reasons can't be measured by a scale. Don't discredit your hard work and discipline by a number reflected on a scale. That number is not you, the sacrifices, focus, commitment, the  character build, new lifestyle... the results... that's all you 👊🏾💯
